There's just one month to go until the Spanish SUP Championship kicks off, bringing together the nation's top paddle surfers for the various events scheduled. You can either participate or attend as a spectator, with accommodation available at the Hotel Bemon Playa, the official camp sponsor.

What will the championship involve? Here's the provisional schedule to give you an idea and get you excited:

Friday 19th October. This day is reserved for the Spanish SUP Wave Championship with the following schedule:

  • Trials
  • Main Event
  • Prize ceremony
  • Welcome party

Saturday 20th October. Open day event featuring the Toro Loco Beach Race Challenge with €1000 prize pool and the Northwind Open Race. The Starboard trophy will be contested through these events:

  • Inflatable boards (mixed category)
  • All Round (men's and women's)
  • Children's (mixed)
  • Juniors (mixed)
The day will conclude with a prize ceremony followed by an evening party.

Sunday 21st October. This day is reserved for the Spanish SUP Race Championship, with competitions in two categories:

  • Men's and women's 12'6"
  • Men's 14'
