Ranimiro Lotufo embodies perseverance and professionalism. He runs a production company with his wife, creating corporate videos that capture precisely what clients want and need. They advertise their services online and produce catalogues to highlight why customers should choose their business over competitors.
Throughout a career spanning diverse sectors – from fashion to production – he's enjoyed numerous adventure sports, including paragliding (his greatest passion), climbing, MTB and horse riding. With over 100 videos on YouTube, anyone can witness Ranimiro in his purest form.

The interview revealed his authenticity, approachability and enthusiasm, demonstrating how anyone can pursue sports without limitations.
Yumping.- You're well-known in your native Brazil, but for our readers: how would you describe Ranimiro?
Ranimiro Lotufo.- I'm profoundly positive. Even in adversity, I apply the Brazilian saying: "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Losing my leg didn't defeat me – I exercise optimism daily. Being an amputee isn't so bad; I still practice extreme sports and live completely normally.
Y.- I've read you modelled for 12 years. What did you gain from that career?
R.L.- Modelling let me explore the world – Europe, Japan, America... I adore travelling and experiencing cultures. Having been raised on a farm with chickens and cows, discovering places like Spain was extraordinary.
Fashion helped me greatly, though I don't believe in slavishly following trends. I wear what I like, not what's fashionable. If it goes out of style? I'll still wear it – I bought it because I liked it! (laughs)

Y.- As a busy entrepreneur creating advertising campaigns, how do you spend your free time?
R.L.- When free, I fly (laughs). Paragliding is my greatest joy. Sensations like entering clouds, skimming mountains, or flying over Quixada – Brazil's poorest yet most big-hearted region – are priceless.
Y.- At Yumping we specialise in adventure sports. How did you discover paragliding?
R.L.- During a work trip to Portugal, I met a South African model who flew hang gliders. He showed me a flight magazine and convinced me of flying's beauty. He connected me with an instructor in Munich where I began lessons – absolutely magnificent.

Y.- You've competed in Brazilian events. What's competition paragliding like?
R.L.- Every pilot should compete – it accelerates learning. Beginners won't win, but being among world-class flyers is invaluable.
In Brazilian championships, ironically, I scored better when participating rather than competing (laughs). Without pressure, I observed techniques and improved organically.

Y.- Do you practice other sports?
R.L.- Currently paragliding, climbing and cycling. Fitness matters! (laughs)
Y.- What's your next adventure?
R.L.- Touring Europe's finest wineries by paraglider and MTB with my wife (laughs). A journey blending beauty, fine wine and wonderful company.

Y.- Followers can track your exploits on social media. Why share your activities online?
R.L.- I produced 100 videos for Brazilian TV, aiming for my own show before National Geographic negotiations collapsed. A Brazilian politician, Walfrido dos Mares Guía, raised false hopes – typical political deception. I abandoned the TV dream but maintain my production company: www.zoomproducoes.com.br/site/
Those 100 YouTube videos gained significant traction.

Social media enables direct public contact and reconnecting with long-lost acquaintances globally.
Y.- What about your fans?
R.L.- My fans are wonderful – they appreciate my authenticity. Since my TV work, many have followed my journey, though I never sought hero status.

Y.- Finally, how would you encourage people to try adventure sports?
R.L.- Words can't capture their magic. I urge everyone to try – you'll see life from extraordinary perspectives: flying with eagles, navigating rivers beside fish... Nature is awe-inspiring.
Never say "I can't" without trying. That's how I've achieved so much, even after losing my leg. These experiences must be lived...
