In the heart of the 21st century, we often live to work without realising that life is slipping through our fingers. We spend all our time waiting for the weekend, and the weekend passes so quickly that by Monday we're already longing for Friday again – and so the cycle continues.

Find a way to be happy

There are things you must do at least once in your life, but if you follow these 5 tips, your day-to-day life will change, or at least your perception of it.

5 Tips to Be Happier

1. Go to the mountains

At least once a month, make an effort to go to the mountains or any place where you feel at ease surrounded by nature. Breathe fresh air and take the opportunity not just to disconnect from daily life, but also to reflect on your life and try to see things from a different perspective... When you step out of the bubble you're immersed in every day of the week, every week of the year... it becomes easier to make decisions and appreciate what you have.

2. Spend quality time with your loved ones

Sometimes we need to be alone, but other times it's better to surround ourselves with those who care about us, whether family, friends or a partner. Simply spending time with them isn't enough – you need to make the most of that time and ensure you do something fun, original and different together. Sharing experiences will strengthen your bonds and make daily life more bearable. For this, paintballing, a kayaking trip or simply going for a walk in the countryside are perfect options.

3. Be an active person

When we go from work to home and home to work, we end up becoming practically robotic, with sedentary lives where we do nothing to feel better about ourselves. Big mistake. You need to work on both body and mind. For this, I suggest doing some daily activity like indoor climbing or any other sport. When you exercise, endorphins are released, which create feelings of euphoria and happiness.

4. Set yourself new challenges

It's great to have a comfort zone and live peacefully, but every now and then you should try to see how far your physical and mental limits can go. Mountain activities like via ferrata or canyoning, and others like surfing, will prove that you're much braver, more skilled and capable than you thought.

5. Experience adrenaline rushes

Adrenaline levels aren't the same for everyone, but what is clear is that it brings great benefits and a sense of wellbeing you can't miss out on.

It's a way to experience sensations so far removed from our reality that they'll make you crave activities that generate them more often: skydiving and bungee jumping are the top choices for this, but there are others like karting, hang gliding, jet skiing, rafting down rapids... You've got a thousand options!
