Company Overview
Located near the Leonese town of Ponferrada and in its municipal area, the mountain station of El Morredero comprises a small portion of land of only 4 kilometers and currently consists of two ski slopes with teletape.
The quality of the snow and the low cost of the ski pass stand out. Its last remodeling dates back to 2002. The Association of Friends of Morredero is responsible for its management.
Both the ski resort and Alto del Morredero had a surge in popularity in the summer of 1997 when a stage of the Cycling Tour of Spain ended there. It currently has expansion projects requested by the local administration of the Ponferrada City Council.

At El Morredero Esquí we have a fabulous teaching school in which we have 4 highly qualified professionals to carry out this work. They have extensive experience that guarantees the quality of the service.
No matter what level you have, we adapt to all types of people. Fun and safety are the main pillars of our teaching method. Always with a low ratio in terms of the number of students per teacher, you will improve and enjoy sliding down our slopes on your skis more and more.
So that you don't have to worry about anything, in addition to school, we have a materials rental service at the station itself, always with the latest equipment. We always work with the leading brands on the market.

Resumen Snowboard
El Morredero Snowboard has a teaching school with 4 qualified teachers who teach classes at all levels. You can book their classes at the station ticket offices. We have classes for all levels:
- Initiation
- Advanced
- Perfection
With the latest expansion, the resort offers new features that will delight lovers of this snow sport:
- Construction of 3 km. of windbreak fences and clearing of runways.
- New, larger and better equipped shelter building.
- New snow-park.
- Improvement of access from Ponferrada, with renewal of asphalt in some km. and more security fences in several sections.

Resumen Estaciones de Esquí
El Morredero Ski Resorts is located in the influence of the Leonese town of Ponferrada, offering skiers a total domain of slopes 7 kilometers long, with a total of 8 ski slopes , distributed as follows:
- 2 green slopes: Ponferrada and Bierzo
- 2 blue slopes: Blue-East and Blue-West
- 3 Red slopes: El Tubo, La Loma and Directa
- 1 Black track: Black
The expansion plan planned for the resort will provide it with a modern system of lifts and chairlifts that will make it much more accessible for all skiers who come to practice their favorite winter sport, whether snowboarding or skiing.
In the future you will be able to enjoy:
- A 1.5 kilometer chairlift in the West area
- A 1 kilometer chairlift in the East area
- A new picnic area with stone tables and benches
- A small customer service building and a new cafeteria.
