Vivitultores Bercianos

In the year 2000, Grupo Galiciano expanded its borders by founding the winery Viticultores Bercianos, under the designation of origin Bierzo. With this new project and after having previously studied the vast possibilities of the area and its star variety.

La Mencía, Pepe Rodriguez, as the central axis of the group and in collaboration with representatives of the area, get to work to obtain wines of the highest quality, seeking to study and differentiate the wines according to the origin of the grape and experimenting with different types of production.

The winery located in San Miguel de las Dueñas has a capacity of 150,000L, in stainless steel tanks, French oak vats and 40 barrels of French oak, American oak and since 2002 also 225l Central European oak

They had the collaboration of great professionals and currently Joan Milá. Initially, young wines, rosé and carbonic maceration were made, with special emphasis on wines with different steps through wood.
