At Outdoor Adventure Canoeing we use Canadian canoes that are ideal for paddling on flat water conditions. They can also be used to negotiate rapids effectively if the situation arises. It is a great group activity as a standard Canadian canoe can seat up to 4 persons.

We get you navigating the beautiful inland waterways around Cornwall. Our expert canoeing instructors will teach the specialist strokes and you will feel as though you have gone back in time to when the Indians relied upon canoes as a method of transport.

Our canoeing locations include:

• Bude Canal: an historic route that was used for hauling sand inland. You can expect to meander through marshes and nature reserves
• Tamar Lake: a beautiful route that has lots of inlets to explore and wildlife to see

Explore Cornwall´s waterways with Outdoor Adventure Kayaking. You can enjoy paddling in tranquil rivers or battle against white water rapids!

We welcome individual and group bookings. Group kayaking sessions include games and team challenges.

If you are new to kayaking, we will start on flat water rivers so as to build-up your confidence. As soon as you can paddle in a straight line, we will introduce you to our extreme kayaking expeditions. There´s plenty of stokes and techniques to learn!

There are kayaking enthusiasts that drop down waterfalls or sea paddle among glaciers and orca whales!

Outdoor Adventure Surfing is a fantastic opportunity! We operate in the following locations:

• Widemouth Bay Beach: Excellent surfing conditions for all. Picks up the best of any swell running and you can almost always find a rideable wave. It is lifeguard patrolled and on rare occasions visited by dolphins!
• Northcott & Sandymouth: Great beaches for surfing safaris. The waves tend to be more powerful than those of Widemouth and the scenery is breath-taking.

Surfing is our most popular activity and we are passionate about this exciting sport. You can experience the same buzz too! Our expert surfing coaches will get you riding your first wave and experiencing the sheer adrenaline rush that is surfing.

Once you are standing up confidently, the next phase is tackling what are known as ´broken waves´. Then you can consider yourself a true surfer.

Outdoor Adventure Windsurfing is a recognised RYA centre. We offer the following RYA approved courses:

Take your breath away with Outdoor Adventure Abseiling! Nothing beats the thrill of climbing down a cliff face, especially a Cornish cliff face. The spectacular views will blow you away.

The challenge will test your fear of heights, and you will be supported by our expert instructors as well as your team of fellow climbers throughout the day.
