The protagonists of Motos de Agua Poniente are responsible for generating the continuous wave that will make you get on the wakeboard board on these Asturian beaches.

We schedule sessions lasting 30 minutes, with the possibility of extending them up to spending 1 full hour in the water. During this time you have at your disposal the wakeboard equipment that is made up of two essential parts:

- The wake board: if you are looking for references, you can orient yourself by thinking about those used in snowboarding, for example. It is based on a surface that accommodates both feet at the same time, firmly attached to it with special boots. It will be your companion to keep you on the sea surface.

- The jet ski that pulls it: to be able to do this sport we need a boat, a jet ski in our case, that tows us at enough speed to be able to stand in the water. Once submerged, we will hold on to a rope while the motorcycle begins to accelerate. That same acceleration is what will take us out of the water and we will have to hold on as long as we can. Nothing happens if you fall because the pilot will be attentive and will stop as many times as necessary.

With Motos de Agua Poniente you only have to go to the Paseo de la Playa de Gijón of the same name to get behind the controls of a jet ski.

We will lend you Sea Doo brand vehicles, in their Bombardier GTI model. To feel its great power you won't even need a degree because you will always act under the supervision of an instructor. In any case, if you already have a title, you can ask us to rent it for free.

Our jet ski excursions run as follows:

- Assuming that the pilots do not have a license to drive them, they will leave behind the monitor who is responsible for ensuring that you are safe and will be able to resolve any piloting questions that may arise on the fly. Before leaving we will have indicated the basic handling of the controls.

- Only one person can travel in each vehicle or share the trip with someone else who prefers to experience this activity as a passenger. If this second person wants, we will proceed to change it with the pilot when we have reached the middle of the excursion.

- They will be experiences to choose between half an hour or 60 full minutes stopping, in any case, so you can bathe in the sea.

We inform you that the minimum age to pilot them is 16 years, if your parents authorize you to do so.

Paddle surfing is one of the specialties that we work on at Motos de Agua Poniente so that you can have the greatest diversity of nautical activities on Gijón Beach in this area of the city.

Stand up paddle is simple if we are in the absence of a notable swell because we are on a board wide enough to remain standing from the first moment. In addition to choosing this position, we can start on our knees if we feel a little more confident. In any case, we will be lent an oar to advance in the direction in which we wish to sail.

Being of legal age, you can start without further ado, if you have reached the age of 16, also if your guardians have authorized you. The most important thing is that you know how to swim so you don't get scared if you fall into the water. For our part, you will wear a safety vest to help you stay afloat.

The outings we organize are carried out with 2 options. The shortest one is limited to 1 hour in the water, while those who opt for a longer option can ask us for the 120 minute option.

We can give you some advice on the appropriate paddling technique. At higher levels you can also surf with strong waves but we will limit ourselves to an easy route for the whole group.
