At MedialunAventura we know the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park very well, so now we want to ensure that you have the same wonderful vision as we do of this area of the Almeria coast. We get it through:
- Kayak routes: of all intensities so you can come with the children or satisfy your adventurous spirit among the coves, getting away from the tourists who lie on the beach.
- Paddle Surf: with courses or trips of up to 4 hours to tour the park from Las Negras or La Fabriquilla, among other places. We also leave you the material on a rental basis if you control it yourself.
- Bicycle or van routes: in either case we will show you this spectacular environment. Decide if you want to do it pedaling or letting yourself be carried on four wheels.
- Kitesurfing courses: in lessons of several hours in proportion to the level of learning you need. From 3 hours to as many as you need.
- Diving: Cabo de Gata is one of the most popular spots among divers. Now you can discover why with a simple snorkel tour or a complete PADI course.
Summary Kayaking
You may have already had the opportunity to appreciate the uniqueness of the coastline of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, however, if you have not seen them from a kayak it is as if you did not know them.
To avoid this, we organize excursions in which we approach each of its corners but from the sea. You will understand that it is a route that does not allow tourism on foot and that it will be leaving a unique image of the area on your retinas.
You can join these itineraries without taking into account your characteristics because we are the ones who adapt to the group through departures:
- Basic level: if you come with children, you have found what you need. We leave to follow an easy route that will pass, depending on what you want, through Isleta del Moro, San José or Punta Cala Higuera. They last for 2 hours.
- Medium level: although it is also free of complexity, we increase the duration to 3 hours which will give us time to reach Cala Tomate or Cala Bergantín, for example.
- Advanced level: we recommend it if you are used to sea kayaking and have some physical resistance. As it will be a demanding route, we will stop at some coves where, in addition to resting, we can swim a little.
Summary Canoe Kayak
- High level routes: those designed for those who are used to activities with similar characteristics. They are organized into itineraries that take into account the tastes of the group, which will never exceed ten participants. We can move from Las Negras to El Playazo or between La Fabriquilla and Vela Blanca.
- Medium level outings: over 3 hours we will paddle in simple environments whose only complexity lies in the duration of the route. Therefore, if you feel capable of exceeding the estimated time to complete it, age does not matter. Loma Pelada or La Pelacra are some of the destinations that we can set.
- Easy walks: with 2 hours we will have enough time to get a magnificent impression of Cabo de Gata without trying too hard.
Summary Hiking
If you want to know a little more about hiking with us:
- You will be surprised between scenes of coast and desert through a rocky landscape that sinks into the sea. They are the confluence of different geological formations. Some of these walls were even corals long ago. With this we can take excursions in which we can learn about its characteristics and get to know something more about the origin of the province.
- This will take us to the volcanic reminiscences of San José, El Hoyazo de Níjar or Genoveses. They are unexpected landscapes for the visitor who takes away a magnificent impression of the entire environment upon returning home.
- We will make minimum groups of 4 participants on half-day outings. If you already have a group, we will see the date and time that best suits you for our little trip.
Summary Paddle Boarding
TheCabo de Gata Natural Park brings together the perfect conditions for the practice of Stand Up Paddel Surf, its calm and crystal-clear waters allow you to enjoy an activity that has more and more fans.
We make different trips along the cliffs, beaches and coves of the Costa de Almería, these are guided routes where you only need to come ready to paddle in search of fun adventures.
Although if you don't feel ready to take a guided route, we have a 2-hour introductory course. In this type of program, we first present the material which, fundamentally, consists of a board very similar to surfboards with a larger surface area and a paddle. We will enter the water, still without moving too much, while you try to stay standing, although you can try it on your knees first. Then you will be ready to, paddle in hand, head in the direction you want.
We also offer rental of material by the hour, if you prefer to do the adventure independently you can get a board and a paddle, we have vouchers from 1 hour to 14 hours.

Summary Mountain Biking
At MedialunaAventura we offer you different alternatives to visit one of the most important Natural Parks in our geography, Cabo de Gata-Nijar. One of our favorite routes is by mountain bike, we have several proposals that take you to discover the most beautiful corners:
Beaches and Coves, we will leave from San José and we will skirt the entire coast until we reach Vela Blanca. In addition to enjoying a day of sports surrounded by nature, you can soak up the history and customs of the area.
The Volcanoes, we will leave from the same point (San José), but this time heading inland on a circular itinerary, until we return to Costa de los Escullos and discover the volcanoes in the area strong>.
Both itineraries are of a medium-low level, do not require exceptional physical fitness and are suitable for all audiences. In all cases, pedaling is a matter of habit and, if we keep the right pace, you will be able to complete any of our routes from the point of origin to the goal we set.
You can also rent off-road bikes and enjoy your own adventure.
