Awa Watersports Nerja

In Nerja you can practice canoeing with Awa Watersports. Its cliffs will be the landscape that you will discover on a unique route. Or do you prefer a course? We also have!

What route do you propose? Burriana and its beach will be our meeting area. You will take the kayaks and go to Lobo Marino, a famous cave that the instructor will explain to you in detail. You will surround the imposing cliff seeing mussels, some crabs, the typical limpets on the rock as you pass...

Later there will be another stop at La Doncella, a waterfall with fresh water that falls down the cliff. There is another small cave along the way that can only be visited if time and sea permit it.

The area of the warm rocks is also beautiful, it will be our third stop, there the birds will fly above you moving away along the cliffs. You will arrive at Caletilla de Maro and its beach, the cove and the Maro waterfall. You can bathe under the waterfall if you feel like it and discover its seabed.

Awa watersports knows that you want to try Kitesurfingand to do so they organize very attractive courses on the coasts of Nerja and they are for you. They adapt to all levels. Let's see it.

• Are you a beginner? You will need some notions about the types of kites used in Kitesurfing. Learn more about meteorology and navigation routes. Know how the equipment is assembled, what parts the kite has and how to put on the harnesses. They will tell you about the flight window and you will do kite flying exercises on the ground.
• Basic level? An intensive course with three sessions of two or three days, with a good weather situation. They will teach you to have autonomy to take your first lengths in the sea. Everything about kite control and safety at sea. You will make your first plans on the water and improve your sailing technique. And something essential, at the end of the course you will know how to refloat the kite.
• Advanced? If you are already an expert and what you want is to improve and enjoy it to the fullest, this is the course. You will be able to perfect the courses such as the upwind, the beam, the length... You will know everything necessary about self-rescue, the essential changes of direction, you will be introduced to jumps, and you will learn and perfect more complex maneuvers.

Courses, beautiful crossings in Nerja and daring Paddle Surf routes are what AWA Watersports Nerja offers you. Do you dare to practice it? The mechanism is not too difficult, you will just have to get on the surfboard and paddle while maintaining your balance. For this, different levels are proposed:

• Beginner level. You will learn the basics and technique of paddling, both standing and kneeling. They will tell you about entering the water and safety measures. You will try to get on the board and paddle for the first time.
• Initiation Level. You will start with a warm-up, select the material and they will talk to you about the different ways of paddling, turns and how to control direction.
• Basic Level. Here things get complicated, the waves appear. You will receive a short introduction so that you know how to deal with them and know the types. Body position and technique will take on special importance.
• Paddle surf routes. Paddle surf routes in Nerja for people over ten years old. Come with your friends and we will organize a fun day for you.
