10 things to do in Orense

Orense offers us great views and sights, where you can breathe the essence of Galicia. Because is one of the only regions without a coast, its historical and natural patrimony is more important. Add to this, the influences of the Portuguese frontier, to which you can even visit with several of one the trips that are organized in this territory. Get ready to visit it with some of these ideas we provide you:

1. Horseback ride through Verín district:



Get out and ride through the Queizás surroundings, where the forests predominate with the characteristic Galician greenery. Is a refreshing ride, with the nice weather since it is carried out through the paths next to the Támega river. This will give you the opportunity f riding in its waters that come from the Sierra of San Mamede, that end in its trail in Portugal.

2. Paragliding over Maceda:



The slopes of the same Sierra of San Mamede are the perfect place to take-off in a tandem flight with one if the purest mode of aerial transportation. You will feel peace and the most absolute silence at a maximum altitude of 400 meters whilst paragliding over hundreds of villages that you will discover in this municipality.

3. A quad route through Boborás mountains.



Get comfortable on the seat of this motorized vehicle, because the paths you will cross, invite you to relax. Departing from Feás, through an asphalted trail, to then continue through the roads of Testeiro whilst contemplating rivers like the Cardelle and Lodairo, surrounded by huge woodlands.

4. Karting in Monterrei.



Try to surpass your limits behind the wheel, in a circuit specially designed to accelerate in Pereiro de Aguiar. If you are an adult, you can do that will Honda 270hp model or, if you dare, with a powerful 390hp engine. 5. Overfly Limia with a paramotor.

The most used technique to move among the waterfalls will be rappel since they had a medium of 10 and 25 meters in height. Nevertheless, you will need to have at least a little experience because this ravine has a difficulty classification of a medium.

7. Jump from the Dos Peares Bridge.



If you are an advanced adventurer, you need to try this bungee jumping adventure, which starts in Ribeira Sacra. Jump to the void, over the Miño channel, with an experience that will leave you breathless for whether excitement or the beautiful natural scenery that will surround you.

8. MTB route through the Ribeira Sacra.



Paddle and ride next to the Miño riviera until reaching Lonia, on a mountain bike trip that will take up to Castro de santomé. Take a short holiday because this offer consists of a variety of stages and you can’t miss them becuase in them, the spectacular Sil canyons with its viewpoints will be waiting for you and, next, the Os Milagros sanctuary.

9. Hiking through Via de la Plata.



Become a hiker with this route to Santiago de Compostela, using this classic path that connects the region of Zamora with Ourense. In these lasts kilometers until the famous Galician cathedral, you will find a variety of monasteries and will cross the valley of the Ulla river.

10. Paintballing in Villamartín.



An idea for those who are traveling in groups is a battle full of shots in the Ourense city. You will face outdoor settings that are in specialized fields and the speedball with inflatable obstacles.
