Winton Castle

For a place steeped in history, Winton Castle is still very much thriving in the present and has so much to offer!

Originally built by the Setons after being granted the land in 1150 and making it their stronghold for around 600 years, Winton Castle has been home to many Lords and Ladies, changing hands many times.

The building sits not too far from Edinburgh within the vast Winton Estate in East Lothian and is iconic for many reasons; its intricate classic structure makes it unique, and it has some of Scotland's most elaborate ornate plaster ceilings to make it even more special.

The stunning castle is the family home of Sir Francis and Lady Ogilvy and has been gaining great acclaim for the wide range of events and activities that we have been running here since 2000. From TV Commercials and corporate events to wonderful weddings that give you unique private access to the grounds, and have become a hub of special memories for many on their big day.
