Qalat brings you the adventure in the area of northwest of Murcia near Calasparra where there are ravines, canyons and mountains where you can practice tourism asset. We have accommodation to spend a few days in nature and forget the stress of everyday life.
We are near the banks of the Segura River, which at this point forms a succession of curves between rice fields, crop areas and canyons through which we make various descents of its waters:
- Kayak descent
- Canoeing
- Rafting descent
- Hydrospeed descent
Different sections with calm and fast waters to experience all the sensations that these descents cause. Sections from 5 to 18 km.
We tour the enclaves of the northwest of Murcia through mountains, canyons and swamps with hiking routes along paths such as the GR-7 and with orientation days.
Through the bowels of the earth in the Puerto cave with the largest underground network in Murcia.
And also paintball games, zip line descents and multi-adventure camps for the little ones.

Resumen Kayaks
The Almadenes Canyon is a protected natural area of riparian forest through which the Segura River runs near Calasparra in Murcia. We invite you to discover them sailing in a kayak and accompanying the last otters that live in this region on their journey.
It will be a 5 km crossing through relatively calm waters that are easy to cross in one of these boats equipped with a double-bladed oar. Although it is not difficult to get into the rhythm of using it, it will be even easier for you by listening to the advice we have for you before going sailing.
The section we did by kayak goes from Viso to the Mulata dam for which we spent approximately 1 hour and a half. Keep in mind that the total duration depends on how calmly you want to take the journey.
We will stop on the descent to closely observe the cave paintings of the Monigotes cave in the so-called Abrigo del Pozo.
Spring and the first part of summer are the most favorable times to embark on a kayak on the Segura River, since that is when it has the greatest flow.
Resumen Rafting
The Segura River at the height of Calasparra and through the Almadenes canyon (includes Cueva de los Monigotes and de la Nutria) in the northwest of Murcia, is a fantastic place to come to do tourist rafting. It combines sections of calm and very bearable waters with other impetuous and brave ones that represent a challenge for the sailor.
Up to 4 different itineraries for rafting through a protected natural area where the last otter populations in the region are found as well as an interesting riverside landscape.
These are the different routes you can do:
- Descent of the Almadenes Canyon: A very narrow route of 5 km with a stop at the Monigotes cave to see cave paintings. It is 1 hour and a half long.
- Descent from Central Aforo to the Esparragal Dam: Very busy descent with sections with rapids, curves, whirlpools and waves. It consists of 6 km and is completed in less than 2 hours, so the complementary activity of Hidrospeed can be added.
A monitor will go with the entire group directing the movements of the boat. We have different sizes.
Resumen Piragüismo
The initiation course has a duration of 10 hours which are divided into 5 classes of 2 hours each.
It is ideal to begin to familiarize yourself with the management of canoes for both adults and children.
We take it a step further with theimprovement course. This is focused on those people who have already completed an initiation period and who want to continue evolving their technique.
This course is divided into half-day sessions with a total duration per session of about 2 and a half hours.
Resumen Paintball
From 16 years of age onwards, paintball is a game that requires rapport between all members of the group. You have to coordinate perfectly and get out of the way at the right time.
We put up to 100 balls of biodegradable paint in your marking gun that does not leave marks on clothing. We will protect you with protection all over your body and a mask as well as a jumpsuit to avoid getting dirty.

Resumen Espeleología
In the Port cave in the northwest of Murcia we began an exciting speleological tour through the largest network of galleries in the entire Region of Murcia. We move through 6 kilometers of underground passages admiring the curious limestone formations present.
There are two different options to move around inside the cave, both are a unique experience and are worth living:
- Tourist caving: In the area specially equipped for tourist visits with 400 meters of comfortable route.
- Adventure caving: We leave the tourist area to live an adventure of several kilometers of travel with small climbs and descents using ropes.
The guide will be with us at all times following our evolution through the cave and providing us with very interesting information about caving. You should not worry about anything, since the activity is carried out in the safest way, with the necessary materials.
It will be between 2 and 3 hours of travel and it is essential to be over 16 years old. Do not you think it anymore! We are waiting for you!
