We at Mountain Innovations are dedicated to bringing you a unique and high quality adventure when you join us for our hiking and navigation experiences in the Scottish Highlands.

Along with your experienced and passionate instructor, Andy, we will take you on a tour specifically designed experience for you and your group. Andy as 14 years of experience in leading expeditions and will bring his prodigious experience as well as his background in Geology to provide a safe, enjoyable and informative adventure unlike any other.

From bagging munroes to learning how to navigate in the wilderness using just a map and compass, the fun doesn’t finish at the end of the day. To help you recurperate from and absorb the entire experience you can join us in front of a roaring fire to enjoy some of Rebecca's culinary delights using local and wild produce.

The Scottish Highlands offer a great range of hiking experiences and we at Mountain Innovations Hiking have a great wealth of experience to make you hiking experience with us one you will not easily forget.

Andy, our lead instructor has been leading experiences in his amazing part of the world for 12 years now and can help you tailor your experience to suit you and your group, no matter your level of experience.

A great example of the hiking adventures we offer is also one of our favourites, the Lairig Ghru Challenge Weekend is designed to help you maximize your time with us, and is scheduled with flight times out of Inverness Airport in mind, including transfers.

You will arrive at the lodge between 5 and 7pm Friday evening, just in time of one of Rebecca's famous dinners followed by a 18 and a half mile hike through the Caledonian pines of Linn of Dee to Rothiemurchus Estate where you will have a full view of what you have accomplished over the day.

The following day we have a warm down 3 hour hike in store for you to the beautiful Loch an Eilean after which you will return for a fantastic Sunday roast. We'll get you back to the airport in time for your flight and you'll be back home in time for tea.
