Located in Cantabria, Soplao is considered "a Unique Cavity" for its undoubted beauty and geological uniqueness. Since its discovery at the beginning of the 20th century, it has become a visit of exceptional quality not only in Spanish territory, but throughout the world.
Along the more than 20 km in length, its galleries house all kinds of geological treasures: stalactites, stalagmites, cave pearls, dog teeth or lava flows are just some of the wonders that you will be able to see. find. We put two types of excursions at your disposal:
- Tourist visit. At the beginning of the excursion, a recreation of a mining train will take you from the mining gallery to the cave. Once immersed in the depths of the earth, you will explore rooms like La Gorda on foot. We also find the so-called Los Fantasmas as well as the Mirador de Lacuerre area, where you can enjoy a play of lights and music while a narration explains the curiosities of the cave. This visit is suitable for all audiences as well as people with reduced mobility.
- Visit tourism-adventure. Designed for the most daring, this route runs through less accessible areas such as the Campamento and El Bosque galleries, among others. Access to children under 12 years of age is not permitted and children between 13 and 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
We recommend you come with comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear, since the temperature in the cave is about 12 or 13 degrees. We will provide the rest of the equipment so that you are 100% safe at all times, so you will only have to worry about enjoying yourself.
