Chococacaomaya

Chococacaomaya we are a sanctuary located in the vicinities of Cobá, we still have vestiges belonging to the Mayan culture and an area where you can camp. Visiting our sanctuary will be quite an experience since you will be sheltered by the essence of these ancient inhabitants, along with the magic of the cenotes and abundant vegetation of the jungle.

With our experiences and the staff at Chococacaomaya, you will learn about the origin of the cocoa bean with which you can make different products, including one of the richest, chocolate, as well. You will be able to witness the production of natural honey and its multiple uses. To comment on other activities and tours that you can do with us:

• Tour Tulum and Cobá with camping: One of our 2-day experiences where we will take you to see the two archaeological sites, in addition to attending workshops on making soaps with honey or artisanal chocolates. You will have food included and visits to the different cenotes.

• Tour to the cocoa sanctuary: You can be part of a Mayan ritual to thank the ancient spirits, taught by one of our Mayan shamans. Together with our professionals and experts, you will hear the history of cocoa from its origins, to roasting and the different preparations of this product.

With Chococacaomaya you can have these experiences shared or private, depending on the experience you want to have, the days available and your budget, however all our tours will be worth it and you will be able to get to know the closely > Mayan gastronomy, along with the history of Cobá and Tulum.
