Welcome to Buckminster Gliding Club!

We operate from Saltby Airfield, on the Lincolnshire / Leicestershire border, and conveniently located close to Nottingham, Leicester, Grantham, Oakham and Stamford. We are a friendly group of gliding enthusiasts who fly every day of the week.

If you are a complete beginner come and join us for a trial flight to experience the wonderful feeling of gliding, or why not treat a loved one? If you enjoy your flight and would like to continue learning to glide we have courses for you to choose from. As you develop there are a number of badges/awards to work towards, from beginner through to qualified solo pilot, and then onto various levels of cross-country and aerobatic flying.

Most people are able to fly, if you can drive a car you can probably fly a glider, and we welcome all ages except the very young.
