Mile High Glider Flight at Crowland Airfield 30min

If you are looking for a new lease on life, that dose of adrenaline that gives you an incomparable feeling, look no further than gliding! We will launch you into the sky, and soon you will be floating above the clouds.

Flying can be so daunting, wondering if you need specific skills or if it will be too challenging for you; well, gliding removes all that doubt with little need for lots of effort and skill, especially with our mile-high glider flight at Crowland Airfields.

Whether you are coming from near or far, we are located just north of Crowland and not too far from Peterborough and Spalding; you won't find a better introduction to flying under the guidance of one of our qualified flight instructors. This is an introduction session, so our instructions aim is to give you a strong foundation of skills and share their intense passion for gliding with you so that you may feel the same.

You will be given a pre-flight briefing to make you feel comfortable and aware of what the experience will involve before stepping into one of our state-of-the-art dual-control gliders, which allows you to take control, and there will be around 30 to 40 minutes of flight time.

Gliders don't need tons of wind, but they need the air to gain more distance, so a much-needed boost is required, which we get from the Aero Tow; this will launch you around a mile into the air above the clouds and everything that lies beneath.

Gliding is the closest you can get to soaring through the sky like a bird, so enjoy that euphoric feeling as you drift through the air. From your enclosed cockpit, you get a spectacular view of the scenic Lincolnshire countryside; once you taste this feeling, you won't want it to end.

It is important to note that to join this experience; you must be lighter than 16 stones 4 lbs (228lb or 103kg), over 5'/152cm and under 6'4"/193cm. Also, children under 18 can get involved, but they will need written consent from a parent or guardian and under 16's need to be accompanied by a parent on this experience.

This experience is also weather dependant and requires gaps in cloud cover so we will notify you of any changes.
