Deal overview
It is a via ferrata of K3 difficulty on the Küsler scale (somewhat difficult) and with a duration of 3 to 4 hours . It is located between Posada de Valdeón and the Ruta de Cares with a 1200 meter route and 300 meters of positive slopes. You will be able to observe the Western Massif and the Central Massif of the Picos de Europa from the highest point and breathe fresh air.
The route will begin at a Tibetan bridge, 35 meters from the Cares River; which runs from south to north Posada de Valdeón. This hanging bridge will direct you to the first vertical wall of more than 100 meters high where you will have to demonstrate your skill and agility to overcome it.Once you have overcome the wall, you will reach two vertical walls of 60 and 40 meters that will take you to an incredible passage along an aerial ridge.
Along the via ferrata you will be able to enjoy the spectacular views of the Picos de Europa Natural Park, overcoming obstacles, collapsed steps and descents. You will see from above the Valdeón Valley and the Vega de Asotín, which is where you go up to Collado Jermoso. You will enjoy the views of the peaks of more than 2500 meters high and the flora and fauna offered by the Picos de Europa.
To enjoy this experience comfortably, we recommend that you come with the necessary material such as mountain shoes, comfortable and warm clothing, bottle of water and sun protection. Otherwise you should not worry since our experienced guides and instructors will provide you with the necessary material to carry out the activity.
