Vitoria Advanced Robotics Camp, 3 days

Summer is the best opportunity to do those activities that you don't have time for during the course. Therefore, we want you to give your children the opportunity to discover a new passion: robotics. With this 3-day camp, you will be able to develop skills that you may not have known and have fun learning.

Here, children between 9 and 12 years old will learn to assemble their own robot: the Yahboom OmniWheel mobile robot, with 146 blocks, 4 motors and 4 Meccanum wheels. Do you know what's special about these wheels? They are omnidirectional and can make the robot move diagonally and rotate 360º.

During 3 days of workshops, participants will program the robot to control it with a Micro:bit board associated with a motor control board. To program, our expert teachers will teach you how to use MakeCode, a language with which you will be able to control the 4 motors of the robot. In addition, we will have a HuskyLens camera, developed by DFRobot and capable of detecting objects, colors and shapes.

The camp will take place at the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Álava from Wednesday July 26 to Friday July 28, at a time from 9:00 to 14:00. Bring your child so they can explore all the possibilities that the world of robotics and automation offers. These workshops offer them an incredible opportunity to work with advanced image detection technology.

Is your son or daughter between 9 and 12 years old and loves technology and robots? If so, in Vitoria we have prepared a summer camp to suit you. Do you want to know what we are talking about? Of an urban campus where children will be able to build their own robot and discover that they are robotic geniuses.

All this, during the week that our workshops will take place. We will learn how to assemble the Yahboom OmniWheel mobile robot, made up of 146 blocks, 4 motors and 4 omnidirectional wheels. Sounds interesting, doesn't it? Well, let us tell you more about these 4 wheels: they are Meccanum wheels, which allow the robot to move diagonally and even rotate on itself.

Children will become experts who will know how to program with a Micro:bit board associated with a motor control board. And with MakeCode they will learn to control the robot's motors.

There are 3 different dates you can choose from. They are all Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Álava. That is, 5 hours a day of robotics for young people:

• From June 26 to 30.
• From July 10 to 14.
• From August 28 to September 1.
