Over the course of 5 days we are going to hold a technology campus in the Bizkaia town of Durango, specifically in strong>Ibaizabal Ikastola, located at 54 Intxaurrondo Street. You can choose between two different dates during the month of July, whichever suits you best: or from July 3 to 7 or from July 10 to 14.
It is a workshop that, as we said, is taught for five days in a row from 09:00 in the morning until 2:00 pm in which we will face the task of building a robot with various functionalities depending on the manufacturing process we adopt: its 173 blocks can result in a mobile catapult, agripper robot , in a elevator, etc.
One of our teachers, with specific qualifications, will teach the youngest, 7 to 9 years of age , how to program a Micro:bit board with which to control the movement of the robot as well as how to use MakeCode to manage the handling of both motors and servo that are integrated.
Exceptionally, children between 5 and 6 years old may come as long as they can prove that they know how to read. When you work as a team and follow the instructions given by our teacher, you will see that the fruit of your effort literally comes to life. Seeing firsthand that the catapult works perfectly or that the clamp fulfills its purpose is an eye-opening experience.
After this, they will most likely want to continue down this fascinating path. Coming to this technology camp in Durango is the first stone for this.
