A majestic snowy landscape is what is seen, in winter, when you reach the summit of Veleta. The most emblematic peak of the Sierra Nevada is, in itself, its own entity that allows you to enjoy the views most beautiful in this Granada region. We take you to crown it on this 15 kilometer guided route that we will do in an approximate time of 6 or 8 hours.

To be able to navigate snowy and icy trails, we will equip you with crampons. This is a material with spikes that adapts to your mountain boots and gives you extra support in the snow. With them on the sole you will move with total ease on the snowy slopes.

The activity will begin at 9:00 in the morning, at the Sierra Nevada lodge where a monitor will explain the route to you while you have breakfast. After warming up, the ascent will begin. During the crossing you will practice progression techniques and self-arrest with the ice axe. An expert instructor will give you instructions and advice.

Everything around you will be snow and more snow. A landscape that invites you to disconnect and enjoy the magnificent views of the Granada mountains, the Mediterranean and eastern Andalusia. And, to make it an experience that you remember well, this is the equipment you should bring warm and waterproof clothing. As well as hiking boots, sun protection and sunglasses. Backpack with water and food is essential.
