Climb to Mulhacén with camprones for 2 days

If you think that to ascend Mulhacén you need technical mountaineering knowledge, it is because you do not know about our 2-day camprones excursion that will allow us to complete this precious summit of Sierra Nevada. It is an activity designed for people who are used to the mountains and who are in good physical shape, since the challenge is to climb one of the highest peaks on the Peninsula.

These requirements are essential since we are going to face a 23 km route whose technical difficulty ranges between medium and high, depending on the area. in which we find ourselves. Or in other words, we will move at heights between 3,482 meters and 1,540 meters, always following the advice of our experienced guide.

We began the snowy journey at the La Cebadilla power plant to head towards the Poqueira Refuge along the river with the same name. This will be the moment in which theoretical knowledge about this way of walking on snow will be imparted to us. And it will be the next day when we put everything we learned into practice. Using the route marked by the Mulhacén River to reach our goal.

Putting camprones on our boots improves our grip on snowy surfaces, so they become the ideal complement for winter hiking. In addition to this material, we provide you with a helmet, an ice ax and snowshoes.

Now, so that you are properly equipped you must bring your own canes, clothing suitable for low temperatures, gloves, a hat, a backpack to carry water and food, mountaineering glasses, sun cream and lip balm.
