Snowshoe route in Sierra de Gredos

TheSierra de Gredos is dressed in white for you so that you can discover one of its most recognized peaks, that of Morezón, through a snowshoe excursion where one of our guides will show you the most beautiful side of what is known as the Circo de Gredos.

We will meet in the Avilés municipality of Casavieja, from where we will move to the Gredos platform to begin our snowshoe route.For approximately 4 hours we will ascend towards one of the highest peaks that the Sierra de Gredos offers: El Morezón.

With a difference in altitude of 700 meters we will enter with the snowshoes through the Sierra de Gredos heading towards some of the treasures that are found in these places such as La Laguna Greata complete spectacle that makes it the best valued glacier in the entire Iberian Peninsula, or the Fuente de los Cavadores. Although without a doubt, we will take the big price when we reach the Pico de Morezón.

Together with our mountain guides the secrets that this snowshoe route hides will not go unnoticed throughout the 12 km that we will travel through. the Sierra de Gredos.Don't forget to smile because our team will be with camera in hand ready to steal your perch.

We will possibly make the descent along the old 'Camino del Rey', a not excessively complicated section but with all the excitement that a self-respecting snowshoe excursion requires.

Furthermore, you will only have to take care of coming with clothing appropriate to the temperature because we will take care of the rest (individual and collective material).

We are going to meet in Hoyos del Espino. Here we pick you up and take you to the Platform, the point from which we begin our excursion with snowshoes.

For 5-6 hours we will walk with snowshoes through Gredos, while we see the most important peaks, their hills and lagoons. A spectacular high mountain landscape that awaits us very close to the lands of Avila.

The guide who accompanies you throughout the snowshoe excursion also has another task: he will take photographs of you throughout the session, to give you a complete report. This way you won't have to constantly take out your smartphone!
