PAC skydiving course in Mimizan - become independent

There, we completely change logic. The PAC course is not I want to try parachute once. It’s I want to learn to jump. And the difference is enormous.

The PAC, Accompanied Progression in Fall, is training designed to take you from beginner status to that of a parachutist capable of jumping alone, step by step. You start with ground theory. Not to fill time, but because before getting out of a plane, you need to understand what you are doing: falling position, safety, equipment, driving under canopy, procedures, reactions to have, mistakes to avoid.

Once this basic is assimilated, you move on to practice. The first jump is accompanied by two instructors. It’s a special moment, because you already jump without being attached to someone like in tandem, but with very close supervision. Then, progression continues with jumps accompanied by an instructor, until you reach the level required for your first solo jump, if the prerequisites are validated.

What you are buying here is not just a series of jumps. It’s real training. Theory, supervision, progression, corrections, accompanied jumps, learning to pilot under canopy, and objective of autonomy. If you're just looking for a quick adrenaline rush, take a tandem. If you feel like skydiving can become more than a check box, this is where it starts.

Mimizan also has an obvious learning advantage. You are in a skydiving area with a school culture, a strong natural setting, and an environment that allows you to stay immersed in the subject. The center even offers simple accommodation solutions on site or nearby depending on availability, which can make the internship much easier to experience when you come for several days.

Be careful though: the CAP requires commitment. You must be available, concentrated, physically fit, and accept that the weather can slow down the schedule. We do not validate training because we paid for it. We move forward because we progress.
