PAC skydiving course in Mimizan - become independent

The tandem allows you to discover free fall. The PAC course prepares you to jump alone. Between the two, there is not just a difference in the number of jumps. There is a difference in objective, involvement and responsibility.

Accompanied Fall Progression is a complete training course intended for people who really want to start skydiving. You are not attached to an instructor like during a tandem. You wear your own parachute, you learn to manage your position, your altitude, opening, driving under canopy and safety procedures.

Training begins on the ground. We explain the equipment, exiting the plane, stability in free fall, reading the altimeter, opening the parachute, handling incidents, piloting under canopy and landing. This part is dense, and that's normal. Before they let you out of a plane with your own parachute, no one is going to just show you three actions on a board.

The planned program includes seven jumps.

During the first jump, two instructors jump with you. They stay by your side during the free fall, monitor your position and intervene if necessary.

The next five jumps are made with an instructor. As you progress, you learn to be stable, to control your movements, to turn, to manage your altitude and to prepare for the opening.

The seventh jump is planned solo, provided that the required skills have been validated during the six accompanied jumps. This jump is not automatically offered because you made it to the last day. You leave alone when the instructors consider that you have the level to do so.

Some students need one or more additional accompanied jumps before becoming independent. It’s not a failure and it’s not exceptional. Everyone progresses at their own pace. These additional jumps are not part of the initial program and may be the subject of an additional service.

During training, each jump is prepared with the instructor and then analyzed after landing. The videos allow you to review your position and understand what needs to be corrected. You also learn the first basics of folding and you start to keep your jump log.

The training usually takes place over four to five days. The weather, air traffic and your own progress can modify the schedule. You must therefore come with availability and not with a train reserved five minutes after the last theoretical jump.

An FFP medical certificate of no contraindication to the practice of skydiving is mandatory. The minimum age currently indicated by the school is 15 years old. For a minor participant, authorization oftwo parents or the legal guardian as well as the requested supporting documents must be presented.

• Minimum age of 15 years (Authorization of both parents or legal guardian for minors)
• Weight less than 95 kg with clothes and after eating
• Mandatory FFP medical certificate, dated less than one year
• Good physical condition
• Sufficient availability to follow the entiretraining
