In order to enjoy scuba diving around the world, you need training, and one of the most widely recognised programmes is the PADI Open Water Diver Course. Once you’ve got the certificate you’ll be able to go diving around the world.
But it all has to start somewhere. We think that the coast of Cornwall is one of the best places to learn. We are an accredited dive school in the St Austell area. When we put on Open Water Diving Courses, we use a swimming pool in the area as well as coastal sites for open water immersions.
The training takes place over 4 days, with course content coming from PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, which means you can count on quality. Our dive instructors deliver it to a very high standard. There is also a theoretical element, completed in the classroom or as an e-learning course.
We also provide scuba equipment so you don’t need to make an investment before signing up. You do need to be able to swim at least 50 metres comfortably and be over the age of 10 years old.
Note: 10-15 year olds will receive a junior certificate, allowing them to dive to depths of 12 metres. From the age of 15, the maximum depth is 18 metres.
