Fall in love with the Cornish landscape from the saddle of a hose.

Hacking on horseback is a wonderful activity to do in Cornwall. You’ll get some exercise and fresh air, bond with a wonderful horse and enjoy expansive views of the area.

We run 1-hour hacks from our riding school in Carharrack, near Redruth. We are set in the Poldice Valley and often ride up to Carn Marth, a nearby hill.

Hacks are suitable for people who know the basics of horseback riding, and will be able to keep up at a trot with the group. You will undergo a casual assessment before riding out to help us choose the right route and pace. We will also need to know your weight, maximum 13.5 stone, to pair you up with a horse.

The hack will be led by a horse riding instructor. They are there to help you enjoy the experience, so listen to their instructions and ask any questions that come to mind.
