This Seamanship Skills Sailing Course is for experienced sailors who want to enhance a wide range of skills and maximize their time on the water. It will be in the beautiful waters of Teignmouth, Devon.
For two days, you will be handling a sailboat in different weather and water level conditions. Skills learned in previous courses will also be improved. The following are some you will learn about:
- Sailing in unfavorable circumstances
- Navigating without a rudder
- Maneuvering without using the centerboard
- Securing a position
- Backward sailing
- Keeping afloat using reefing
- Trailering on the road
You will receive an induction and other necessary information from our certified instructors. Equipment such as spray jackets (if needed), wetsuits, and buoyancy aids will be provided as well. A certificate and a handbook are included in this offer.
