We have something very special for you. It’s a paddleboarding safari in the fascinating natural zone of Montrose Basin. Children of 12 to 16 years old can come along, so long as they have an adult (booking from the adult’s price) accompanying them.
This nature reserve is a tidal pool where many species of flora and fauna are found. The highlights for kids are the waterbirds. Long-beaked and colourful-legged, these birds love the mudflats and shallow waters of the basin.
Our SUP instructor will introduce the group to the equipment, including a buoyancy aid (if you don't have a wetsuit you can rent one), and help them to paddle across the water in a way that doesn’t disturb the wildlife. This activity is suitable for beginners, but we recommend an intro session to anyone who’s nervous on the water.
The entire experience lasts two hours, time enough to gain confidence on the SUP, learn something about local wildlife, and enjoy a new experience with your loved ones.
