Basic water kitesurfing course in Lourido 4h

This kitesurfing course is designed so that you acquire the basic knowledge and experience to practice this sport. It will take place on the coast of Pontevedra. We work on various beaches, so we will choose the location of the activity based on the state of the sea and the wind.

There will be a total of 4 hours of course, which can be divided into more than one session. It will be done in groups of up to 4 people. The perfect plan if you want to enter this exciting world with your friends!

The first thing we are going to teach you is how to assemble the kitesurfing equipment and the safety rules that must always be respected in this sport. The traction kite will be essential for you to feel the force of the wind!Then you will practice your first flights with the kite, from the ground, learning the concept of the flight window.

We will then access the water and begin with the body drag, in which you will fly the kite to let it drag you through the water. Finally, you will learn the technique to enhance the flight of the kite without leaving the water, and also how you should do to recover the board, if you become separated from it. You will be great protagonists when you practice the well-known water starts that will be the first starts in the water.

You will have the entire technical team so you can enjoy learning and sliding through the water with the board.

The beach where the activity takes place may be different from Lourido beach due to the weather conditions that day.

This kitesurfing course will provide you with all the necessary training so that you know the sport and can start practicing it at your leisure. We are going to do it on the Galician coast of Pontevedra. We will choose the specific beach according to the weather.

We will always work in very small groups, a maximum of 4 students per instructor. Furthermore, it is not a rigid program, since if you have tried kitesurfing before, the instructor can adapt to you so that you make the most of your time.

If we start from scratch, we will follow the following guidelines during the course:

• We begin with practice on the beach sand, so that you begin flying with the traction kite, learn to assemble it correctly and can move on to flights based on the wind window.
• Once we have mastered kiting on land, we will do the first aquatic exercises: the body drag, in which you let the kite drag you through the waves.
• Finally we will move on to the water start, which are the first starts in the water, already on the board, while the kite drags you.You will also learn how to recover the board on the water.

Normally we teach this course on Lourido beach, but we adapt to other beaches taking into account the weather conditions of that day.
