Llyn Padarn is one of the largest natural lakes in Wales, but it’s the setting that makes it a must for any watersports enthusiasts. With Snowdon to the southeast and equally impressive mountains and ridges on all sides, it’s a sight for sore eyes.
We have a fleet of high-quality single kayaks at our watersports centre at the southern end of the lake. We offer them for hire for three-hour periods to individuals and groups of people over eight years old.
As well as the kayaks, we’ll throw in paddles and safety equipment - lifejackets and wetsuits. The staff members who handle the rental service will be on hand to help you get kitted out and launch. They can also recommend routes and locations to explore.
You can book a kayak for yourself and paddle off solo or come with a group. Every participant needs a swimsuit, trainers and a towel. Our kayaks are suitable for beginners and they have a weight limit of 145 kilograms.

Double Kayak Hire on Llyn Padarn for 3h
Deal overview
The landscape of North Wales is mountainous and rugged, but it’s the lakes that will really take your breath away. If you don’t believe us, come to our watersports centre at the southeastern tip of Llyn Padarn and hire one of our double kayaks.
With a carrying capacity of 200 kilograms, these kayaks are a great option for taking the kids out onto the water. The minimum age is eight years old.
No previous experience is necessary when taking a leisurely paddle on the lake. Besides, our trained staff members will make sure that you’re comfortable in the boat before you set off on your own in this three-hour rental experience.
They’ll also give all kayakers a life jacket and wetsuit. The only things that you need to pack are a swimsuit, a spare pair of trainers and a towel.
