Don't worry about losing your way, because you'll be given an itenerary at the beginning of the experience, as well as some instruction in the kayak and a safety briefing. After that, you just have to follow the river! The tour takes you as far as Teddington Lock, just beyond the picturesque harbour.
On the way, you'll discover a bit of the history of the River Thames, passing places such as Eel Pie and Swan Island. And as this is a self-guided tour, you choose the pace and resting points on the route. One of these could be a stop at a fantastic, riverside pub, familiar with welcoming guests who arrive by boat.
Your instructor can advise you on how to make a reservation at one of these pubs before setting off with the corrrect arrival time, so you can turn up and eat when it suits you! Alternatively, pack a picnic and enjoy it at your leisure on the grassy banks of the Thames.
Please take into consideration that for this trip you must be 18 years old or you should at least be accompanied by a legal parent if you are under age. The maximum weight for one of the kayaks is 142 kilograms.
