Try funyakking! These are two-person inflatables which we call Orcas because of their black and white designs - and their mastery of the water. They are similar to kayaks, one person sits in front of the other and both occupants use double-ended paddles.
The orca experience is much trickier than standard white water rafting. You won’t have a guide in your boat - but we will send qualified instructors downriver with you in separate boats - and the streamlined body of the boat makes it more susceptible to bumps and spins.
For these reasons, funyakking is for people who’ve been rafting or done other white water activities before and are at least 16 years old. In addition, you need to be able to swim 25 metres and weigh 115 kilograms, 18 stone, or less.
We’ll start this 4.5-hour session with a safety briefing, then get into protective gear. We supply helmets and life jackets as well as wetsuits if you don’t have your own (at an additional cost). Then it’s time to have some fun on the Afon Tryweryn! We’ll complete several descents of Snowdonia’s most rapid river in the session.
