Rent a Kayak Route from Petersham Meadows, 2.5h

Are you a wild adventurer? If you are, don't hesitate to immerse yourself in this very interesting trip along the River Thames.

This is self-guided tour, in which you'll follow the River Thames upstream, escape the noise of the city, and maybe even glimpse some of the local wildlife like kingfishers, otters and watersnakes. 

The experience starts on River Lane, Petersham, in the West London borough of Richmond, where you'll be given instructions, a safety briefing and a suggested itenerary before you launch your kayak into the water. 

But once in motion, you're the boss! It's possible to paddle through Richmond to Twickenham and Teddington, as far as Teddington Lock. On the way, you'll pass landmarks such as Marble Hill House, Eel Pie Island and Swan Island. 

Across the river from Swan Island is a popular stopping place - the White Swan pub - where you can have a hot or cold drink and a bite to eat. Or, if you prefer, bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy along the way.

Remember - participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian. Every member of the group will have their own kayak. If it's a sit-on-top model, the maximum weight is 75kilograms, whereas a normal kayak can take anyone who weighs less than 156 kilograms. Get ready to have a wild adventure!
