Depending on your groups experience, we will spend some time at Barcobe Mills practicing the basics of kayaking.
Guests will leave knowing how to maneuver the kayak, how to turn, brake, and paddle backwards.
Your assigned kayaking guide will tailor the day to your groups level of experience. Beginners or experts this route can be adapted to all kayakers.
Get up close and personal with local wildlife! Be prepared to see an array of animals; herons, swans, canadian geese, dragonflies, and trout are all common in these waters.
Please note, the maximum weight per individual is 18 stone (115 kg) and the minimum age to participate is 14 years old.

Kayak middle River Ouse for 4.5 hours
Deal overview
We will begin at Barcombe Mills and begin our journey downstream. Your assigned kayak instructor will be present at all times offering assistance when needed.
This excursion is suitable for all levels of kayakers. Whether you are a level one beginner or expert all are welcome and no one will be left out!
Your instructor will take you around the incredible countryside of Sussex all the way to Lewes for a total of 14km. Be prepared to possibly see herons, swans, and even kingfishers.
We finish our kayaking ride at the Harvey Brewery in the historic town of Lewes. Feel free to rest and reflect on the exciting experience you just had while having a bite to eat.
