Start your kayaking journey the right way.

We run regular introductory sessions on Ullswater, one of the most iconic watersports destinations in the Lake District. For your first-time kayaking, this is a fantastic place. Anyone over the age of 9 can join in.

We keep the group sizes small, no more than 9 participants, and work with highly experienced instructors to ensure that you get the attention you need. The sessions start with a lakeside safety briefing, then you’ll take your first paddle on the water. We can continue the 2-hour session with tuition, activities, or challenges.

We meet at Park Foot Holiday Park, at the eastern end of the lake near Penrith. There are showers, changing facilities and toilets here which are available to use.

All the kayaking equipment is included in this session, and so is safety equipment. We will need you to come prepared with a change of clothes and shoes and some extra items depending on the season.
