With this adventure you are going to explore in depth the Almadenes Canyon Protected Natural Area, and we are going to do it by kayaking through these clean and beautiful waters. The fantastic interpretive guides will be at your side to explain everything about the places we see.
On the sides of the Segura River you will discover the spectacular gallery forest. Furthermore, the one we will cross is the one with the best condition in the entire Region of Murcia. Very valuable animal species live in this environment, such as the woodpecker, the leprous pond turtle, the kingfisher or the friendly otters. It is also common to admire majestic birds of prey such as the owl, eagle owl or Booted eagle, since they usually build their nests at the top of the canyon, at more than 150 meters.
We will stop to show you the Monigotes Cave. This place is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, as it houses cave paintings created more than 8 millennia ago.
We will also visit the Otter Cave, a place where a couple of these animals live.
Another place we will see will be the Teacher's Place.
