Enjoying the New Forest National Park on horseback isn’t only for experienced jockeys.

If you’re new to horse riding, we can take you on a lead rein ride at walking pace through fields and along tracks. Lead rein means that your horse will be guided by a person on foot.

No previous equestrian experience is necessary because the guide will help you mount and sit comfortably on the horse and control its movements. You don’t need specialist equipment either, we will provide a riding hat and boots.

The New Forest is one of the best places to go riding in the whole of southern England. It’s an ancient landscape of woods and heath with many tracks that are perfect for beginner horse riding.

These rides, also known as walk-outs, are suitable for anyone over the age of 10. The weight limit to ride our horses is 85 kilograms.
