Do you need to blow away the cobwebs?

Come for an hour’s riding in our local national park, the New Forest. From our riding centre outside Godshill, in the northeast of the park, we can get out into the open landscape without crossing or using any public roads.

There are a number of routes where we enjoy hacking. Hampton Ridge is a favourite for its expansive views, while Ashley Walk is fascinating for its remnants of Second World War installations.

These hacks are best suited to people with some riding experience. We can supply riding hats and boots on your first visit if you don’t have your own. The minimum age is 12 and we can only let people who weigh less than 85 kilograms ride our horses.

What’s the best way to connect with nature and the landscape?

The New Forest is a wonderful place for horse riding at all times of year. The turning of the seasons changes the landscape and reinvents our established hacking routes around Hampton Ridge and Ashley Cross on every outing.

Two hours gives us enough time to cover a lot of ground. We recommend these hacks to people with experience in the saddle because we will ride on a variety of tracks and bridleways with different quality surfaces.

After you make a booking, we will be in touch to ask about your ability level, height and weight in order to pair you up with one of our horses. Unfortunately, we can’t accept bookings from those who weigh over 85 kilograms.

The minimum age is 12 years old. We have riding hats and boots of all sizes which you can rent from us for a small fee, but please feel free to use your own!
