Accompanied by an expert naturalistic guide, you will have the opportunity to make an excursion in total safety on the slopes of the volcano.
The tour will begin at 8.30 in the morning: after arriving by jeep at an altitude of 1900 metres, there will be a trekking on foot which will take you to get to know the extinct craters more closely, with the splendid deserts of lava and the centuries-old woods that grow on the "smoking mountain".
The guide will explain to you the fascinating volcanic phenomena that year after year have contributed to making Etna as it is now.
We will then continue with a guided tour of one of the caves on the volcano, called "lava flow cave".
At lunch time it will be time to taste the typical products of the area. lunch includes appetizer, first course, dessert and tasting of 3 Etna DOC wines and you can visit the cellar and the vineyard where they are produced.
After having refreshed yourself, it's time to set off again: the following stage will take you to visit the Alcantara Gorges, famous for their high walls, formed by basalts at the base of which the clear Alcantara river flows.
