Starting from the Rifugio Al Parco, at an altitude of 1610 metres, you will take a pleasant walk in company of approximately two hours, which will take you to cover a overall height difference of approximately 200 meters (100 uphill and 100 downhill).
You will be accompanied by an authorized park guide, who thanks to his great experience and professionalism will be able to give you unique moments during the day spent together.
During the trekking you will cross a wonderful beech forest, reaching the peak of Monte Arioso, at 1710 meters above sea level. From there you can admire the entire valley, extending your view up to Pollino and all the other mountains of the Lucanian Apennines.
From the top you can also admire Monte Cervati and, with a bit of luck, the Gulf of Policastro and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The entire route develops on the Sentiero Frassati, until passing through what are the opposite ski slopes that allow you to reach the Al Parco refuge.
