In this offer our company wants to offer you afantastic tourto visit the highest volcano in Europe, the Etna, going as far as the wonderful Gole dell'Alcantara.
The excursion will start from Taormina and Giardini Naxos and includes a stop at Zafferana Etnea, splendid town at the foot of the Etna Park.
There you will visit an artisan honey laboratory, one of the typical products of the area, which you can taste in the company of the expert guide who will take you to discover the beauties of the place. Zafferana Etnea is also renowned for its artisanal oil and liqueurs.
After the tastings we will continue the journey, heading towards the lava flow caves. The guide will tell you the story of how they are formed before heading up to 2000 meters above sea level on the volcano.
At this point you can visit the lava flows formed between 2001 and 2003, where you will stop for a bit of relaxation and lunch. You will then continue on a dirt path among chestnut and birch trees, enjoying a splendid view of the Valle del Bove.
The excursion also includes a visit to the Gorges created by the Alcantara River, which create magnificent natural sculptures that attract thousands of tourists from all over the world every year.
You can also bathe in the clear waters of the river to cool off before returning to Taormina.
