Can you imagine entering a sea of fireflies? Upon reaching three months of summer, a surprising natural phenomenon emerges in the forests of Amecameca. Thousands of fireflies appear to illuminate the environment, giving rise to an amazing natural spectacle. This is when fireflies enter their reproduction phase.
During those months you have the opportunity to get to know and see these enigmatic and mysterious insects up close, visiting the Emerald Forest found in the Esmeralda Forest Ecotourism Park.
You will be able to walk among forest paths, the natural habitat of these small insects, and accompanied by a specialized guide, discover what they are like, where they live and why they illuminate nature.
To carry out the activity you must wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear, and do not forget to bring a raincoat, since as it is a wooded area, rain may occur. It is also recommended to bring a dimly lit flashlight so you can illuminate your path without disturbing the fireflies.
