Summary Snowshoeing

Al Parco is pleased to offer you one of the most popular activities at the moment, let's talk about snowshoes. Snowshoes, or more commonly called snowshoes, allow you to make long walks during the winter season. Thanks to their large surface, you can place your foot on the snow without sinking into it.

This sport has been designed mainly for all the trekking lovers who, due to weather reasons during the winter season, could not face long walks in the mountains due to the snow. Thanks to snowshoes this problem has been solved, giving the possibility of long walks in the snow.

Snowshoes are ideal to get away from the tremendous chaos of the city, it will be the right opportunity to reach an inner balance and open your mind.

At the MTB Park you can do all the activities you want, in this case we offer all our users the opportunity to practice in a group a sport that takes care of the body and mind. MTB will be a real outlet to eliminate the stress and anxiety that accumulates during working days in the city.

In the Lucano Natural Park you can follow many routes on your bike . The difficulties of the routes are different, if you are a true expert you will have routes that will be a real rush of adrenaline. But there are also routes suitable for the less experienced.

In Saso di Castalda, guided by our expert tour guide, you can face an alternative day with your friends or relatives. It will be like unplugging, where the only thing that matters is pedaling and overcoming the difficulties of the routes.

Always guided by an expert you will be immersed in nature and you will see spectacular landscapes. Any possible problem will be solved by our staff.

Summary Horseback Riding

At the Horseback Riding Park, offers you the opportunity to enjoy incredible horseback riding in the saddle of our thoroughbreds. The walks take place in the Apennine National Park Lucano, in the municipality of Pignola.

The horseback ride will take you back to the past making you feel like real cowboys. You can ride in the park discovering places accessible only on horseback.

Our guides in addition to teaching you the basics of horse riding, the approach to the horse, will take you to magnificent places.

You can jump into the saddle of our foals and gallop in the great Lucano National Park. For your comfort we have all types of saddles available, the American one for those looking for a comfortable ride, and the English saddle for those who want a more basic horseback ride.

The main difference between the two saddles is the presence of a knob which can be kept in the American one, and the absence of the same in the English one.

The adventure on horseback is even more exciting with us.

Summary Hiking

At the Trekking Park the aim is to make all those who decide to participate in one of its routes live a real new and adrenaline-charged experience. Walking has always been the best way to discharge bad energy. You can take advantage of amusing walks immersed in the nature of the Appenino Lucano Park, considered among the largest natural reserves in Italy.

The duration of our routes is varied, you can tackle an easy two-hour walk, calmly doing the simpler routes, up to a trekking of 8/10 hours. The latter with more than 800 meters in altitude, will be a real physical challenge. Will you be ready?

During the walk there will also be the opportunity to stop at the refuge and taste some of our traditional dishes, as well as cheeses and cold cuts accompanied by our freshly baked hot bread.

The guides will accompany you throughout the journey and solve any possible problem. You will always be in good hands.

Summary High Ropes

Are you looking for a breathtaking adventure ?? Something you won't forget easily ?? If the answer to these questions is an enthusiastic yes, then what you absolutely must do is contact Al Parco and experience the incredible experience of crossing the Tibetan bridge.

You will look out on a view of spectacular beauty, on the ditch Arenazzo , a beauty that only a territory like the Lucanian one is able to offer you.

You will reach breathtaking altitudes, in fact the first stretch has a height of 869 meters for a length of 15 meters, and is about 8 meters from the earth. It takes about three minutes to cross this stretch.

After the first bridge, you will take a nice walk up to the second bridge, more challenging but also more exciting: starts from an altitude of 910 meters to reach one of 912 meters , for a total length of 45 meters and a ground clearance of 20 meters. It takes 10 minutes.

It is a super adrenaline experience and very exciting, which will give you sensations that you will hardly forget. It's a great way to go on an adventure trip with your family or friends.

BY CAR From Puglia On the s.s. 106 Jonica exit at Metaponto and take the s.s. 407 direction Potenza. Take the Potenza Sud exit, continue to the roundabout, go all the way around the roundabout and go back towards the highway. Before the highway intersection, turn right following the signs for Pignola (do not take Pignola at the roundabout). On the municipal road follow the signs for CODRA (nursery), once in Codra follow the mountain road of Fossa Cupa up to the locality of Madonna di Sasso, here follow the signs for Piste da Sci until the road ends. From Campania A3 towards Reggio Calabria, exit at Atena Lucana. Follow direction Brienza. Take the first exit after those of Brienza following SASSO DI CASTALDA. In Sasso di Castalda follow the signs for SKI SLOPES until the road ends. From the Valla D’Agri on the s.s. 598 direction Atena Lucana exit at SASSO DI CASTALDA. In Sasso di Castalda follow the signs for SKI SLOPES until the road ends. Nearest train and bus station Potenza From central Potenza we can organize the transfer to the refuge, journey time 30 minutes. Closest airports Naples and Bari We can organize a transfer from Naples airport, which takes 2 hours and 15 minutes to the Refuge. We can organize the transfer from Bari airport, lasting 2:30 to the Refuge.
