Guided tour of Guadix and Gorafe for adults 7h

Granada is a land of charms, the scene of visits to each of its corners where centuries of history are hidden. Our goal is to take advantage of the beauty of Granada with our guided tours that this time take us to Guadix and the Gorafe Geopark, a tour of about 7 hours which we will do in the company of a local guide.

Our trip begins in Granada capital, more specifically on Calle Mariana de Pineda, where our bus is waiting for you, a means of transport that we will use to travel to the different points included in our journey.

Living in a cave a priori seems like a thing of the past, but nothing could be further from the truth. For Guadix this continues to be its most common and safest settlement alternative, which protects the people of Accitanie from the inclement weather that devastates this Granada town. You will discover it with a walk through the mythical Barrio de las Casas Cueva, with narrow streets and lime facades.

Saying Guadix also means talking about a city full of artistic and historical heritage, as is the case of its 11th century towers, the churches of San Francisco, Santa Ana and Santo Domingo and its Cathedral. Guadix is also synonymous with spectacular views of Granada, Sierra Nevada and the Granada plain.

And for lovers of Prehistory, our tour ends with a visit to the Gorafe archaeological site, megalithism in its purest form, where you will find the largest European grouping of funerary monuments from the Bronze Age, a total of 240 dolmens, wrapped in an arid place of badlands.
