Private Guided Tour of the Historic Royal City 9pax

Ciudad Real, a royal city surrounded by manor lands. Three military orders found their destiny in these lands of La Mancha, that of Calatrava, that of Santiago and that of San Juan.

It is a private itinerary of two hours duration that pleasantly surprises all the visitors who take it, you will discover in depth and in a very entertaining way the historical development of a city somewhat unknown but, above all, authentic!

We will begin by talking about the origins of the city in the Plaza del Pilar, epicenter and nerve center that brings together local people daily. Very close by, going up Ramón y Cajal Street, we will find the beautiful Church of San Pedro, one of the best preserved examples of Gothic, which It houses the funerary chapel of Los Coca, one of them, Fernando, confidant of Isabel I of Castile.

At the other end, in the Plaza Mayor, is located the Carrillón Clock, from which the automaton figures of Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote and will welcome us Sancho Panzato the sound of a very typical popular song, "to the La Mancha stain that there is a lot of wine...". This clock, recently created, has become one of the main attractions of Ciudad Real, attracting, especially on weekends, hundreds of curious people.

Afterwards, we will visit the Lopez-Villaseñor Museum, the oldest building in the city, which was the birthplace of Hernán Pérez del Pulgar, captain of the Catholic Monarchs . Over time it was converted into a Municipal Museum that houses the paintings of Manuel López-Villaseñor.

Thus, we will enter the other side of Ciudad Real. Right next door, in the Cathedral, we will reveal the story behind its spectacular altarpiece, considered one of the best in Spain, without a doubt one of the most beautiful.

We will complete the tour with the exterior visit to 19th century monuments, a moment of maximum splendor for the region. We will finish at the Elisa Cendrero house-museum, a woman of character and solidarity. In this way, we will get to know in depth the way of life of a wealthy family at the beginning of the century, linking it with the events of the time.
