Then come into the great outdoors with us and experience the thrills of climbing on a real crag. This 6-hour day on the rocks is designed for people who have experience of indoor climbing and bouldering, but this isn’t essential. We can welcome children from the age of 7, but it’s not a complete beginner’s activity.
North Yorkshire is a fantastic place for climbing, with plenty of locations around the county. We usually use Brimham Rocks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park for these conversion sessions. Other options include Twistleton Scar and Borrowdale in the Lake District.
One of the big differences between indoor and outdoor climbing is the equipment. Don’t worry if you don’t have anything more than a pair of climbing shoes, we will supply all the ropes, helmets, harnesses, etc.
We will also provide instruction, courtesy of a member of our team of expert outdoor guides. They will start the day with a briefing and go on to coach you through the steps of outdoor climbing.
