If you’ve never been rock climbing before, or perhaps you have but don’t feel like you’ve got the hang of it yet, let us show you the ropes. We offer 3-hour climbing taster sessions to beginners and nervous climbers aged 7 or above which, we’re sure, will see you getting higher than before.
All equipment is included, and you’ll be guided, step by step and hand over hand, by an expert instructor. You’ll start with the basics, maybe some bouldering, then move on to roped routes. We can also give you the chance to try abseiling over the edge of the rock face.
We have several top-notch locations for climbing around North Yorkshire, among which is Twistleton Scar, an exposed rock face on the side of Whernside in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The closest village is Ingleton and Settle isn’t far away. Alternatives include Brimham Rocks and Cumbria’s famous climbing valley, Borrowdale.
We organise these taster experiences to groups of 4 to 20 people, perfect for families, youth groups and more.
