With personal instructions and expert advice from some of the world's best-qualified instructors, you won't find a better beginner's lesson for rock climbing and abseiling anywhere, especially at the glorious heights of the Scottish Highlands.

The day of action-packed fun will begin with a safety briefing and supply of the equipment before getting into the basics. We will provide helmets, ropes, harnesses and all the climbing kit you need.

Kingussie Crag is usually where you will learn to climb and abseil with us; the breathtaking scenery makes it an ideal location, the views are more than worth the challenge of climbing to the summit, and they get even better when you make the descent back down.

Throughout this session, you will get to grips with many of the basics of both activities and then put them into practice, with plenty of support and motivation from your passionate instructor to give you the belief to overcome this challenge and use your skills in any future adventures.

With this introduction to rock climbing and abseiling, you will experience a feeling you will never want to let go of; the exhilaration and joy of climbing one of the many stunning locations throughout the Scottish Highlands are like nothing else.

Kingussie Crag is our primary location for this activity, and while it may be daunting at first and present many challenges along the way, the reward of conquering this natural wonder is the picturesque views of the surroundings beneath as you stand like a king or queen accomplishing a remarkable feat.

After overcoming this challenge, you can taste even more excitement by dropping over the edge and giving the wonderful activity of abseiling a go.

However, you can't do this solo; the expert guidance of one of our qualified instructors is vital to this session, and the firm foundation of skills they equip you with will help you through this experience; their one-to-one instructions will build your confidence immensely.

This introductory lesson is perfect for beginners over the age of 17; often, many fears can arise, but after a safety briefing from your instructor, you will feel much more at ease, and you won't need to bring any of the main equipment as your instructor will provide everything including a helmet, ropes and a harness.
