The mighty Cairngorms rise out of the earth in the west of Aberdeenshire, creating unrivalled opportunities for rock climbing. Join us for an introductory session in the national park.
Our favourite crags are found in the Pass of Ballater, a steep sided valley in the southern part of the park. The rock faces are made of Cairngorm granite, which is excellent for climbing and dries quickly after rain.
These sessions last three hours, which includes an introduction to the location and equipment, a safety briefing and plenty of time scaling the walls. It doesn’t matter if this is your first time, because our qualified climbing instructors will lead you every step of the way.
We can take groups of two to four people on these excursions. One of them must be an adult, booked using this price, while the others can be children of at least 12 years old. Everyone should wear loose fitting trousers and tight fitting shoes. Please bring your own drinks and snacks and tie back any long hair.
