We offer you this fun family activity in the Hermit Cave. Located in Ornolac-Ussat-les-Bains, a few kilometers from Vicdessos, in Ariège.
Come and discover the stalactites and stalagmites, draperies, columns and so many other natural creations!
You can accompany them in this crazy exploration or entrust them to our professional instructor so that he can show them the network of the labyrinth paved with natural calcite slides.
He will guide them throughout the activity and teach them the name of each thing they discover.

Schedule of the activity:
- We are pleased to meet you at the Thermes d'Ussat-Ornolac les Bains to warmly welcome you. You will be picked up and welcomed by your instructor. He will take care of the children and give them a briefing on the activity and the safety rules to follow.
- Once all the instructions have been understood, for the comfort and safety of your children, we will provide them with all the necessary equipment. They will have a child-sized caving suit, a child's helmet with electric lighting as well as a topography.
- A 10-minute approach walk will be necessary to get to the entrance to theHermit Cave.
- Once they arrive at the limestone porch, located at the foot of the large cliffs, they will enter this new underground world to explore it under the supervision of the monitor. He will show them the concretion rooms, the large stalactites and stalagmites, the draperies, the columns, the fistulas, the gours...

Good to know:
- This activity is carried out in groups of 4 to 10 people (children and adults combined) per instructor.
- The temperature inside the cave is quite pleasant (15°).
- Consider wearing clothes that cover the body and are not dirty: long sleeves, covered legs and sports shoes or boots. For those with long hair, we ask that you provide aelastic forattach.
